It really is an interesting question. But I would not answer it like you. After all, how can we know that we are not computers with some sensory modules pluged in to the device? Still, the entire world might be in your head.
I would answer it in another manner: that a computer, even if could assign meanings and senses to propositions (via some kind of a program) does not know what does it mean to understand these meanings. It doesn't experience "understanding". (https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/chinese-room/)
